The first ever St. Patrick’s Day parade was held in the United States on March 17, 1762, when Irish soldiers in the English military marched through New York City. I am not sure how you qualify celebration. Although I heard someone once say they had a parade in Boston in like 1752 or something so I guess it is debatable.
